First, throwing a window wide open for a few minutes every hour or two drops CO2 dramatically. If you’re worried about heating or cooling bills, do it short and hard rather than leaving it cracked all day.

Second, hold your important meetings and decisions in ventilated rooms whenever you can. A two-hour marathon session in a sealed conference room is close to the worst possible setup — long, high-stakes, and slowly poisoning everyone’s judgment.

Third, if you’re genuinely curious, drop $15 or $20 on a CO2 monitor. The moment you see the real number for your own workspace, the ventilation habit forms itself.

The deeper message here is a little humbling: your judgment might not be entirely your own.
